Reviews Overview

Most Liked

The coffee at Sophie's earns rave reviews, especially for its rich flavor and consistency. Patrons often highlight the delectable luxury milkshakes, with the Chocolate Brownie and Caramel Latte being personal favorites. Breakfast steals the show, featuring hearty options like the 'Monster Breakfast' and the world-famous vegan hotdog, which keeps people coming back. The café’s all-day breakfast deal is a hit among those who crave breakfast foods anytime, making it a flexible dining option.

Many also appreciate the knowledgeable and accommodating staff, who always find time to make recommendations and ensure guests feel comfortable. The kid-friendly menu and high chairs make it accessible for families, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere.

Most Disliked

Despite its many strengths, some reviewers note that the café gets quite crowded, especially during peak times, leading to longer wait times for tables and service. Consequently, those who prefer a quieter atmosphere may want to choose their visit times wisely. The pancakes, while tasty, receive mixed feedback, with some diners desiring larger portions.

Parking can sometimes be a hassle during busy periods, particularly on weekends. While there's street parking available, it gets filled quickly, and patrons might find themselves circling the area before finding a spot.

We were absolutely starving after the long walk and we stumbled onto this nice place. As soon as we walked in, lovely man showed us to our table. Nice big menu. We had panini and the sandwich - both came with small coleslaw and small portion of french fries. It was really tasty! Couple next to us had a salad which looked amazing! Recommend to try!

Never fails to deliver here. Breakfast is lovely and decent sized, vegan hotdog is amazing too. Pancakes could do with being a bit bigger but are very tasty.

My favourite cafe in town, I come here often for coffee and a bite. I recommend the Sophie’s Club or the beef burger. The food is filling, tastes delicious and reasonably priced. Their breakfast is offered all day and has a lot of variety. The cafe has a cozy atmosphere, including a selection of artwork by local artists. Staff have always been fantastic and very helpful. Can get busy during lunch time, especially in the summer. If I do need to wait for a table, it’s not for very long.

Lovely independent cafe. Had a piping hot large mug of tea and a delicious bacon and fried egg sandwich. Service was fast and friendly. There seemed to be a lot of local folk in, which is always a good sign.

A really nice friendly cafe, the staff are super, we got there when the cafe was full but the staff offered us a seat where we could wait until a space was available for us, and even gave us a cup of tea while we waited. Was able to choose our own breakfast, which, for someone following a Low carb / carnivore regime, was perfect. Gluten free was no problem either .
